Trip Preparation

September 10, 2008. It is now about 60 days until we take off. People have asked what the exact date will be. We don't know yet because two things must occure. First, we have to have all the gear and bike prep done. That means a 10K check on Marty's F650GS and he won't be back to attend to that until November 4. Second, it's Nebraska. So if it's snowing we go the next day! Cold is not a problem. We can stand cold. But ice is fatal on a motorcycle. So we will aim for the 6th or 7th of November, and hope for good weather.
